Purpose

To enable you to develop and improve your Leadership and management skills, enabling you to increase your performance to meet and in some cases, exceed your objectives.


Aimed At

Team Leaders - NVQ Level II (Full Award or Unit Accreditation)

Supervisors - NVQ Level III (Full Award or Unit Accreditation) 

Operational Managers - NVQ Level IV - (Full Award or Unit Accreditation)

Senior Managers - NVQ Level V - (Full Award or Unit Accreditation)


National Accreditation

Successful completion of this programme will lead to the appropriate NVQ Level listed for each occupational Level.

Remember, a successful award endorses your ability to successfully complete the job where it really matters – ‘in the workplace’.


Areas Covered

- Initial Diagnostic

A relevant Diagnostic helps you and us to determine where your experience lies against the National Standards of ‘best practice’. The programme will give you credit for what you are doing well and assist you to develop in the identified ‘gaps’.

- Leadership

Understanding and demonstrating effective Leadership behaviour.

Developing relevant Vision and motivating others to ‘buy in’ and follow. Review of your personal style and its effects. Improving personal communications.

- Managing People

The Legal framework Coaching and Mentoring, 360 Degree Appraisal, Formal Appraisal and Development Needs Review, dealing with under performers.

- Managing Activities

Improving Organisational Plans and Activities – Vision and Strategy, Minimising Non-conformance, The Organisational Team, Project Management.

Completion of a work related improvement task.

- Managing Resources

Profit and Loss, Company financial reports – ‘the window of the business’

Cost/Benefit Analysis, Capex. Requests, Minimising Waste

- Managing Information

Formal Presentations, Report Writing, IT Skills Development, Decision Making
